Is anyone here using {white} camel bone for scales? How does it look? Does anyone have some example photos? Is it easy to work with? Any tips/tricks to working with it? Overall opinion? Thanks.

I've never used it but have thought of using it. I know Brad Vice from Alabama Damascus (on ebay) used to have the cheapest prices on it that I could find.... Doesn't answer your question I know, but just wanted to let you know.

It was a customer request. I didn't find anything that made it difficult to work with. It didn't try to chip or anything. Does stink like all other bone. I didn't hold grimey grit like I thought it would either. I"ll use it again I'm sure it just won't be white, I just don't like the looks of the white.

Easy to work with, and if stabalized, won't load up with buffer debris. Almost looks like ivory. Seems to be very tough.

This one was camel bone, the second one I'd made using it. Seemed to work fairly easily, didn't load up with gunk in the pores. I used mineral oil on this one, so it's a little more yellow.
