This is the first entry in this forum for me and although my experience constructing knifes is rather limited I have always been very interested. I have been around wood and carpentry forever and when I saw a large quanity of camellia wood available I instinctually gathered it up. Does anyone have any experience with this wood being used as handle material for custom knives? I have plenty and would like to see how it would look if anyone is interested. Let me know if anyone is interested in trying some.

Welcome to Shop Talk. What does it look like? Maybe you can post a pic of it? Sounds interesting enough.

It appears that you are at the same place that many of us started off at. Welcome to the show! It's a good bunch of folks here.
