Ok guys, we see all the pictures you take of gear and scenery. Let's see what you are taking them with? I am looking for a new one and want to see what everyone around here is using in the field.

I have a Canon Powershot A570, 7.1 meg. It has a viewfinder in addition to the 2.5 inch screen, also runs on 2 AA batteries. Two key features for me.

Canon A710 for when I'm out hiking and such. I also have a Canon Rebel Xt....but I sold my lenses to buy new ones and haven't got around to it yet.

I have a Canon power shot A570 that is acting up ,so I am in the market for a new one,I like the Camera's that take AA Batteries,That is what Sold me on the Canon series....now I need another...Spilled Dr.pepper on it (Oops)and it has been dropped a few times ....

Canon A710 for me also. Small enough to take hiking, takes AA batteries and has optical image stabilization.

BTW, if you're looking for a new camera I highly recommend www.imaging-resource.com -- it has very detailed reviews, evaluations and sample images for just about every camera on the market.

Canon SX100 IS for me, but I have a problem with sky's looking grainy. It could be my fault, but whenever a picture has the sky in it, or sunset pictures, the sky part is grainy, the rest of the pic is fine, just the sky part.

Canon S400. Downside is it's heavy and takes special batteries that can't be charged in the field, and the batteries don't last long especially when it's cold. It's been a good camera other than those issues.

I use a Nikon S5. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it does what I want it to do. It's also very small, height/width around the size of a pack of cigarettes but thinner, so it's easy to slip in a pocket.

Here are a couple of shots I took with it, it was set far below the max resolution.
