Hi All,

I recently received the Camillus 9.75 fixed blade (bamboo handle) as a gift. I am having trouble finding any real user reviews on this knife or really any detailed specs whatsoever on the net.

From what I can tell the spine is roughly 2mil. I think it has a FFG, and has a rat tail tang. I'm wondering if anyone has used this knife or knows anyone who has that can point me to some sort of user feedback. I will be using this knife extensively but would love any info from others who already have.

I have never owned a non-stainless blade before and this has AUS-8 which I am happy about because sharpening my DH Russel is a real pain.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I'm not tech savvy but here is a link to the website. There is a pic on it.

Thanks for the reply. I've used knives my whole lif for hunting and wilderness camping but unfortunately I've never learned beyond the basics of knife anatomy and benefits for particular uses.

I don't like being the bearer of unhappy news but the few reviews there are on this knife aren't very good. Basically it is
a China made copy of a traditional Japanese hunting knife. You can find this knife on Amazon and read the reviews.
The real version would be say a Takashi Saji if your budget allows or a Kanetsune Seki.

A Kanetsune:

A Takeshi Saji:

As others have hinted, Camillus knives are unfortunately not what they used to be. Anyway, pls report back with some user info after you have used it for a while.
Knife does not look bad, but that is of course no indicator of whether or not its any good.

I forgot to add the link!

I believe you might want to remove that link or a MOD will do it for you ;-)
