Camillus ARCLITE CUDA / A.G. Russell Limited Edition - D2 Steel - New In Box - No longer in production. Darrel Ralph design.
This is the last version of these ARCLITE CUDA neck knives and arguably The Best. In 2011, Will Fennell of Camillus Knives announced a collaboration with A.G. Russel to make a limited run of the ARCLITE CUDA (and the EDC folder) with D2 Steel blades (instead of the 420HC Steel that all previous versions were made with).

OK folks,
I've been tight lipped about this one, but I had to. AG RUSSELL asked us to make the EDC and the ARCLITE in one of his favorite steels, D2. Naturally, this is an exclusive to AG RUSSELL KNIVES, and he wanted us to remain silent until he broke the news. Well, AG has done his first mailing regarding the knives. It was announced first to members of his AG RUSSELL KNIFE COLLECTOR'S CLUB, but it will be avialible to the general public shortly.
On to the knives! Not only is AG a big fan of D2, the designer of these 2 great knives, Darrel Ralph, is also. Darrel's choice is CRUCIBLE's AIRDI-150 D2. This is a very clean and consistant version of D2 availible from our neighbors @ CRUCIBLE STEEL. We worked with CRUCIBLE and Darrel to refine our heat treatment of AIRDI-150 D2, until everyone was extremely happy. This stuff is awesome. We are are applying a "stonewash finish" on the blades to aid in corrosion resistance. They came out very nice. These knives are truly for the "knifenuts" out there, or should I say, in here

D2 Steel is a much superior steel to the 420HC steel that all previous Camillus ARCLITES were made of. D2 is produced by different manufacturers to different specs. so the D2 from one manufacturer will be different from another. According to Will: Darrel's choice is CRUCIBLE's AIRDI-150 D2. This is a very clean and consistent version of D2 available from our neighbors @ CRUCIBLE STEEL. We worked with CRUCIBLE and Darrel to refine our heat treatment of AIRDI-150 D2, until everyone was extremely happy.
The ARCLITE CUDA is a terrific neck knife: small enough to be unobtrusive, big enough to be extremely useful when the need arises. The ARCLITE's slim profile is both comfortable to hold and easy to use. The skeletonized handle keeps this utility cutter lightweight and secure under varied gripping conditions. A notched lanyard hole is present for attaching a thong or cord, and you can easily wrap the handle with Paracord should you so choose.
