Camillus Boy Scout Knife??

This is the model 72, one of my favorite camillus patterns

Is this a legitimate Boy Scouts of America knife? I have seen it with a round shield, but not this one
Is this an earlier BSA knife or what?
BTW, the seller had two of them

I don't know anything about boy scout knives but that is a very nice knife. I am sure someone with knowledge will show up soon.

The Scouts used a lot of knives for their official knife. And yes, the 72 was used. The shield is one I have saw on other knives, and I am thinking it had to do with the scout rank.

This is a model #1047 (55 pattern) and is an early model. The later models had the round shield.
