Around a year ago, I won a nice old Camillus Jack (above) in Vanguards giveaway, and I was carrying it today. This turned out to be a happy coincidence because today was the day that the Camillus Boy Scout Whittler I recently won in r8shells giveaway arrived. The pen on my Camillus Jack soon had the package open, and inside, in all its glory, was this smashing little Stockman configuration Whittler. It has great walk and talk, tons of character, and is a thoroughly lovely knife I think.
The knife came contained in this beautifully-made pocket-sheath, into which it fits perfectly. Pocket sheaths are like gold dust here, and this is a great design, with a fob and loop that can be passed round the belt for greater security, and so your knife rides high in the pocket and is therefore more readily accessible.
Also, r8shell sent a US Bicentennial Quarter, from around the time the Camillus Whittler was made. I was 15 at the time of the US Bicentennial, and thinking of it sure brings back some happy memories of 1976!
Thanks so much r8shell, these are wonderful things to receive. The knife is great, and the handmade pocket sheath and 76 Quarter will be treasured alongside it. Ill try to get better pics soon.
Jack
