Hi! I am a new member and have a very nice 5-blade knife that looks to be an authentic Camillus camp knife. I took it to a knife collector and he couldn't tell me much about it (Case collector). After researching it on the internet, it appears to be some sort of Camillus Classic Cartridge (c.c.c. .30-06 SPRG) knife, however the main blade doesn't have the engraved bullet on it. The big blade does say "C-4" on one side and "Camillus New York USA" on the other. It appears after research on the internet that these have been made for awhile. The handle looks like bone or antler, but I think it is a man made resin. If you could tell me more about it, I'd love to hear. It's already got a load of sentimental value, I'm just curious about it.
Thanks for your time and input!

Can you post a photograph?

The Camillus Classic Cartridge series has bone handles and the model numbers are CCC-1, CCC-2, etc.

Camillus also made a Cartridge series. The handles are Delrin and the model numbers are C-1, C-2, etc.

A picture would help.

Until then, I bought a Cartridge Camp Knife from the online store a few years ago. It had brown jigged Delrin covers, Springfield cartridge shield in .30-06, and the box said C-4. It was a nice knife, but not part of the CLASSIC series with bone covers, as CAMCO has mentioned.
