HI I just placed an order for the Camillus EDC Anniversary one and should I just keep it in the box and look at from time to time or should I use it as a real EDC? Thanks

Anyone know how many of these they plan to make? The scarcity of the item would be the big factor for me - if I know that I can replace it easily in the future, I'd use it. If not, I'd baby it.

Only 1000 will be made. So, if you are looking for a user, get the 154CM "Standard" EDC that several vendors have, unless you plan on getting 2 of the anniversary models (1 for collecting).

I find that the black and gold make for an extremely handsome knife, and am impressed with the ones that I've checked out before putting them into stock.

Have to agree. Get the 154CM version from 1SKS and put the anniversary edition away.
 
I'm not a collector. I use my knives. Nevertheless, the Anniversary Edition EDC is the one knife of mine that stays in the box.
 
I just received my Anniversary EDC yesterday and it really is an attractive looking knife and a great design. As far as using it, I don't think so. I have the standard model for EDC use and not only is it a great user, but folks often mention what a pretty knife that is. My boss liked my EDC even better than my custom made Damascus and Stag liner lock, go figure? ;)
