Can any of our Camillus experts come up with the answer to this question? Over on the bay someone is selling a #89 Sword Brand Camillus with "Indian Stag" slabs. Did Camillus call their delrin slabs "Indian Stag"? Or is this guy just making it up?

Invoice,

I do not know the answer to your question but will just talk about stag. Sambar Stag, has been called India Stag, or incorrectly (Indian stag) for a long time. The accepted correct term is Sambar stag. The most desireable 'stag' knife scale is from the Asian Sambar stag deer. The country of India was cut off from export of stag for a spell but is back in operation. Other animals with "stag" type antler are considered less valuable because of a pithy or softer, more hollow center and the surface texture, 'roughness', of Sambar has set the standard of what is stag should be for many years. Do a search on stag and you will find many informative threads...... in the auction world you must use your eye to decern and not count on written words on what is good stag. FYI

Thanks for the links Edbeau. I should have looked there first. Looks like that's what Camillus called its version of Delrin. 300, I already knew that it wasn't real stag. I was just wondering if the seller was making up the Indian Stag bit. Looks like he wasn't.
