Camillus 'Hustle"

Even though they both fit the same (more or less) price range, I don't think it compares with a RAT1 at all. The RAT is full flat ground which is great for... well.. everything in my book. Saber ground blades like this Camillus Hustle tend to bind in the material being cut. I think the Camillus looks somewhat more tacticool while the RAT is a more utilitarian overall design.

:thumbup:Hi.....I purchased this by sheer browsing the store......window shopping so to speak......the price, G-10 and AUS steel attracted my attention....so I asked the representative at Wal-Mart if I could see it....and I was thrilled even more by the weight of the knife.....I then asked for a piece of register receipt paper and perform a paper cut test.....at that point I was sold......never thought of buying a Camillus knife, nor did I have any intentions on doing so.....I own several knives, Spyderco, Kershaw, Blackhawk, Combative Edge, Ontario, etc....and though I own some high end knives.....I am always in the market for a bargain buster, as I know a lot of people don't want to spend a lot of money on a knife.....but I just can't have any ole cheap blade....I own the Rat 1 and 2, and I love both of them.....so where does the Camillus Hustle fit with Rat line.....right dead in the middle....it can do IMO what both the RAT 1 and 2 was designed for....this is not a comparison to say which is better, rather that ALL of them are great knives for the price.....there were a couple of drawbacks with Hustle, 1. being restricted to right hand tip down only, (pocket clip placement) and 2. the lanyard hole, or so I thought.....I was able to thread my lanyard hole using 550 paracord without removing the any of the threads inside.......it was simple, simply cut the paracord diagonally as opposed to a 90 degree cut.....burn the end while making it just a little narrower, and thread it through the small hole on the Hustle......it's not even difficult...then I did a snake knot lanyard with peace sign bead, and celtic knot at the end for an added touch......so not my Camillus Hustle has one draw back....it's not southpaw carry friendly, but since I'm a righty....it was an excellent purchase for me.....like to give a shout out to the gentleman that started this post and everyone else who has commented....great thread on an unknown knife!

i got one on a trade and really like it so far, even better than my SOG trident! locks up great, smooth action, feels solid. running it through the edc lately to give it some work time. so far so good!

Forgive me a day late and a dollar short, Bear claw, the same story with, me a couple years later, my fourteen-year-old son is going on a fishing trip in the High Sierras, looking for an inexpensive, but quality knife, and came across the Camellias Hustler, I was totally impressed......
I thought for the money I couldn't go wrong, should he lose it like his others I won't be too terribly upset......
And their 30 bucks now.....
Anyway I'm a new member.....
