Camillus Les Stroud "Survivorman" Knives are Here!

Just purchased the "Arctic" knife from this series. I am a big Les Stroud fan, but surprised at how poorly made the sheath for this knife is. The knife is well made and practical for any survival situation and I opted for this knife because it did not have the serrated edge. This knife is "non-stick" and works well with pine which as most know can be quite sticky. The full tang of the knife is also a huge bonus. I like the handle and it feels comfortable after using it for several hours. On a downside, the Sheath does not hold the knife well and I would not be confident to take on a short trek through the woods for fear of losing the knife. The knife literately bounces around in the sheath and the only thing holding the knife in place is a slim piece of Velcro that you just can't quite get secure enough. There was no molding of the knife to the sheath which gives the overall product a cheap feeling even though you can see the quality in the blade itself. I thought that Les Stroud would put considerable thought into the retention aspect of this knife especially since it's designed for Arctic work where snow and water could come into play and cause one to lose their blade. Again the knife is well designed and practical... I will just have to find a replacement sheath to prevent a lost blade when I most need it. Hope this review helps anyone else buying the knife. :)
