I have a Sportsman's fixed blade knife that I'm pretty sure dates pre-war. It is exactly just like the Kent, NY city knives with the leather sheath. However, mine is only stamped "Sportsman's knife" no there words or markings. Might this be before they stamped them Kent, NY City or after?? below are 2 pics.
Thank you,
Mike

Well I found out a bit more info that maybe someone can elaborate on. Apparently, There was an add in either Outdoor life or Fur-fish-game back around 1957 that advertised these for $1.50. So why did they stop putting a makers brand or mark on them?
