I'm interested in buying this knife soon, is it worth the money I'll be paying? On the websites it talks of two models one priced an $99 and another at $246, what is the difference?

The more expensive model has a blade made from Talonite, a corrosion proof cobalt alloy. The less expensive model has a blade made from 154CM, a pretty decent stainless steel. I don't own either one, but I like the looks of them quite a bit. Definitely on my "to get" list.

I bought my Talonite Talon more than 18 months ago and IMO that was the :) "BEST BUY" :) I ever made.... Excellent knife!!

Excellent utility knife. I had one, didn't think it had enough finger guard for me, and sold it. Now I wish I had it back. Not the best defensive carry, but really top notch for utility. Excellent value for either the 154CM or Talonite versions.

If you like it, get it. It will work very well for you.

Hi...

You can't go wrong with the Talon...

I have the 154 version and I have to say that the design is one of the nicest I own and the fit and finish that Camillus puts on this knife is A++..One of the nicest factory knives I've seen...I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

This is Definately the next best thing to owning an original Simonich..

This is one of my favorite knives ever. I will always carry this for my utility blade when backpacking. I have a couple of Bob Dozier knives, but , with the flat ground blade on the Talon, it is a little tougher than the Dozier's. The Dozier's are the best skinning blades I have seen.

I have the Talon in talonite and if you can possibly afford to go with the talonite then go for it...you will never be sorry. The Talon is one of the best EDC utility knives made in America. It is kind of an American puukko.
 :p :D
