Camillus vs imperial vs colonial

IMPC4B, BSA #1052. Imperial knife. Same as IMPC4A, but with white pearl handles, and a change of BSA model number. I think produced 1949-1953 (shorter production than the IMPC4A, guess didn't sell as well). This was my dad's knife that I found in an old damp shed in a box of other knives. Lost my dad about a year ago. My first post, if I messed up please forgive. I have a lot to learn here (including how to clean this knife). Thanks for looking !

This is an old thread!! Your handles are probably celluloid.
My advice is to clean the blades on this one - maybe fine steel wool, then store the knife in an enclosed space - sandwich bag? Inspect it maybe once a month for a year - be patient. If the blades and liners continue to oxidize the celluloid is probably deteriorating/off-gassing. In that case, the handles should be removed and replaced!! Don't store the knife with other knives or valuable stuff until you are sure it's not deteriorating!!
