Todd ?? I'm Todd too ! lol

Awesome slippie' :D That wood is delisciously fantasticaly beautiful

Thanks!
You really can't appreciate this knife till you hold in person.
The way that it's been etched and polished, turned out really nice.
It's kinda hard to see the contrast in the photos.
And yes, the wood on this is just amaizing to look at.
Thanks again,
Bill,
Wolfpack, and
Todd too :D

wow. beautiful wood. I am curious Todd. why did you etch the blade? Is it sort of a satin finish thing?

Thanks Bill,
The blade turned out really nice, yes it's like a satin finish you could say?
I etched the side of the blade, and filed an polished the back by hand. ;)
As far as why I did it? Just to get it to have that certain look?
The whole knife turned out really well.
Take care.
Todd

Got any small ones in the pipe (3" closed)? Got a wedding to go to mid Nov., and I'd like something good to go with the suit. Don't think I should drop my Leatheman and 'tactical' folder in the pockets like I do with my jeans/BDUs :D

Tod:

That knife is stunning and your work is very nice. I hope to own one of your folders some day. Would you ever consider putting the nail nick on the other side of the blade for us poor neglected left handed knife nuts?

Be ready for some more beautiful elephant ivory knives to be coming down the tube. Todd picked up an awesome chunk of elephant ivory at the Oklahoma City Show. He really had an outstanding display of folders at the show. I had told hm to bring his minis but he said you had bought them all out before he could get to the show. Congratualtions Todd. Since I relied greatly on the posts of others to make the decision to buy a knife from Todd, I felt it only appropriate that I share my experience as well.

First the above knife is beautiful and I could not be happier with my purchase. Todd's pictures are very nice but do not show the true beauty of his knives. This is not a knock on the pictures which are great and help you pick the one you want. It's just that my experience has been that the knife is much more impressive in person. I am confident that others who have purchased from him feel the same. In the case of this knife, the picture doesn't show off the contrast between the etched portion and polished portion of the blade. The blade is truely unique and stunning. The wood is also eye catching as shown. Todd, you make beautiful knives and I am glad to be the owner of one.

As a final comment I will say that I felt uncomfortable purchasing using only the pictures. I called Todd and discussed the available knives in detail. He graciously gave of his time to answer all my questions and set my mind at ease. He is passionate about his work and wants you to be totally satisfied. For those sitting on the the fence go for it. It has been a pleasure and I look forward to my next knife. -John
