Here is a bit of a new twist on the Combat Special. This one has a 7.5 inch forged and edge quenched 1084 blade, 1/4" thick. The grip is green/black camo linen Micarta with stainless pins and Corby bolts.

The blade is also camo'ed by parkerizing, then bead blasted in selected area, then overcoated with AcraCoat for corrosion resistance.

The knife is equipped with a OD green Blackhawk tactical sheath.

SOLD!!

Thanks for looking!

I think it had gone to $280.00, but it seems this one has found a home already. I imagine Mr. Covington will be turning more out soon, though. :)

I really like this design of yours Greg, I have for a very long time.

Is it possible to have the same specs with a wider blade and false top edge, delete the camo job and replace it with a hand rubbed satin, drill a 1/4" hole in each side of the micarta guard?

Hey! I think I just redesigned the design!

Enquiring minds want to know, you know, for reasearch...;) :D

dont tell my wife...

Again, nice knife!!!

The average price for this knife is $275.

Gundy, thanks for the compliment. I would worry about putting the holes in the guard tines because it would really thin them out...not unless that area was totally redesigned. I could do a broader blade, but I am trying my best to get away from doing hand rubbed finishes anymore for a number of reasons.

Greg,

Congrats on the pic in 'Tactical Knives', great knives you've got going on! By the way, I use that Beeman almost every day.....;)

Take care,

Dudley

Dudley.....thanks alot. The pic in TK's editorial with the comment was really nice to see.

I am glad that a number of these combat knives are seeing use in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Glad you are using that Beeman SS scope! Those are truly one of the greatest combat optics of all time. My current toys that go bang are the converted SL8 to G36 in the above pic and an older HK SL7 with a Kahles 6X42 scope.
