Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this thing supposed to be available sometime in 2012? I'm beginning to seriously doubt that they're gonna make it.

^That's precisely why they no longer give release dates. Too many people complain about it cause problems when they run into production issues or have to change something.

There has been mention of the sheath being what's delaying these, but have you filled us in on what kind yet? Kydex, plasticky kydex-like type stuff, nylon, etc?

I was just coming in here to ask that question! I am curious about the machete sheath, I want to wear it on my back like a ninja, will the sheath support this kind of activity?

The Camp 10's is ambidextrous with lots of attachment points. If the big one is similar you should be able to ninjafy it no problem.

LOL - All the sheaths will look like the Camp 10 sheath - molded plastic with lots of attachment points and reversible/high/low carry options. I can't recommend the "ninja back carry" though. I tried it and nearly stabbed myself in the neck trying to put it in the sheath!
