Forged from 1085 high carbon steel
Diffentially heat treated with about 1 inch of the edge at about 58 Rc. It needs to be sharpened with a stone, a file will just skate on the edge.
White oak haft that has been dyed
Haft length is 14 inches, the head is 6 inches long and the cutting edge is 2 1/2 inches
Simple leather edge cover ( I'm still working on it)

Being a retired old geezer I only make these axes when the urge kicks in; about 20 per year.
