Mostly stock removal from 1/4 inch thick 52100 high carbon steel
I heat treated this to Rc 58-60 the same as all my knives which will make for good edge retention. It cannot be sharpened with a file like most axes but with a stone like any knife.
Convex grind with a near mirror finish with a secondary grind
The flats are blackened mill finish
Black canvas Micarta handle
Head length: 5 inches
Cutting edge: 3 1/2 inches
Length from the top of the head to the butt: 11 1/4 inches
Handle: 5 1/2 inches
Weight: 1 pound 8 ounces
Leather edge cover

SOLD delivered within these United States. My PayPal and email address is gldrewknives@gmail.com

This is very nice. I'm commenting as it's already sold and I'd have thought it would have got a lot of likes if that was still an option. If you ever send work outside the States I wouldn't mind something like this myself🔥

I bought enough 1/4 inch steel to yield 6 axes, there will be more. :)
