Forged from 1 inch 1085 square stock
I heat treated this the same as I would a large chopper type knife: the edge is about 58 Rc with the body much softer. This cannot be sharpened with a file, a stone is necessary. I have been making these for several years and received feedback about the toughness and edge holding. The edge geometry is the same as I would put on a large chopper knife so it will chop and slice.
White oak handle approximately 12 inches long
The axe body is 6 3/4 with a 2 3/4 inch cutting edge
Leather edge cover, no belt loop unless requested
Sold includes shipping to the US. My PayPal and email address is gldrewknives@gmail.com please contact me about other payment methods.
