Personally, I think a 6.5 inch blade would be optimal. You have that wide blade with the weight. Keeps the overall length down but yet gives you decent weight for heavy tasks. Big knife in a compact package. I love that concept.

tknife on the other hand, likes those real BIG choppers. I must admit I reserve a special place for them too.
