Camp Knife $150 & below - need some ideas

The Buck 119 'Special', once $34 at Wally World and Les Stroud's choice for several 'Survivorman' `episodes, is a decent performer. The Buck 650 Nighthawk, ~$65, is a tad more stout - both are 420HC heat treated by Paul Bos. Decent choices - and reasonable. Below are the KaBar fighting knife, Gerber LMFII, RAT Cutlery RC-5, and Buck 650 Nighthawk.

No doubt the RC-5 is the best choice - but it is twice the other's cost - or more. If you want one, grab what you can find - they are out of production for a bit while Rat Cutlery secures another sheath-maker.

I think either the OKC Ranger RD6 or KaBar Bull Dozier would make great camp knives. Both have 6.5in blades and go for about $80:
