Really sharp looking setup; more chopper/cleaver style would be perfect for me...

Here are 3 choppers I'm working on that need sheaths done next. All three are orders. The blades are 10 3/4", 12", and 17 1/2" on the long one:

Thanks for buying the knife 007!

I love your work, vary raw, and efficient

I'd love that same knife in a 5 inch blade! Great work, hopefully we'll see more from you in the near future! Andreas

That's a nice looking blade Bruce! What has your experience been so far with CruForge V in terms of overall performance (sharpness, edge retention, ductility, sharpenability and its level of rust resistance)?

Thanks Andros!
sharpness and sharpenability: it takes a good edge but takes longer to get there than 1084 & 5160 (but easier to sharpen than 154CPM, D2, ect)
edge retention: seems to hold an edge longer than 1084 & 5160
ductility: I would suspect less than the other carbon steels I use due to the higher carbon content
rust resistance: I would think the same as other carbon steels as the chromium content is still quite low (only 0.5% in Cruforge V, stainless steels have at least 12%)

You are welcome. Thank you for answering my questions. Would you say that you see a certain superiority of Cruforge V over 5160 and/or 1084?
