This is a design that udtjim came up with. In my opinion they make a great all purpose camp knife, handy enough for all camp chores short of chopping wood. They have a 5" blade, 3/32" thick, and are 9" overall. One is in zebrawood, the other is maroon micarta with yellow liners. I like this design so much that I am adding it to my line. It`s called Jim`s APCK (All Purpose Camp Knife)

This one shows handle contours and yellow liners.

Here they are shown with a Bark River that Jim sent me to rehandle in purpleheart.

that type of straight, no nonsense design always appeals to me. from the contoured handle to the stout spear point, looks great!

Thanks John. Having used the ones I gave the kids, I think they are about as close as you can get to a all around home/camp knife. The are not choppers but my JK hatchet coming next month will handle that stuff as well as the folding saws that I always carry.

The 3/32 really sclice and dice and they are long enough for even a full head of cabbage or large onions. The slice meat like a laser. Great looking handle on the Barkie, the old handle was cracked.

Nice looking knives there...pretty easy to go overboard on thickness, but if you're not trying to split logs for whatever reason 3/32 stock would make a killer slicer.

udtjim and I must think alike, just got this knife in from Bryan Breeden about a week or so ago. Mine's an inch longer overall (add a half inch to the handle and blade compared to Stomper's knives) and slightly different shape, but same concept, a 3/32" camp knife with about a 5" blade.

*sings along to an old CCR tune*

That design will endure long after all of us. Those are very nicely done, Stomper! I like the yellow liners a lot; they transition from the steel to the brown handle without being too gaudy

The relatively low position of the thong tubes confused me for a minute... but the more I look at them, the better they look. Why didn't I think of that? :o

Good looking blade. I like the simple look of these, they ooze functionality.

They look like they would be extremely helpful for my cooking needs. (Not to say they wouldn't be great camping knives as well)
