nice. Question? wood handles are not ok for cold weather? risk of cracking?
 
It's not so much that wood is not okay for cold weather, but I can guarantee that the synthetic is better. What's more, if there's much chance of lots of snow/moisture, I greatly prefer a kydex sheath to leather, and kydex will mark that nice burl up.
 
Wow Shawn that is just awesome!! Where did you find the bronze at? I like the look of the bronze better than I like brass and I bet it does not tarnish like brase does either. Very nice job on it.

Exactly, Warren. It's not that stabilized wood wont hold up.....But the synthetics you know Will.

Thanks Wade, I got the bronze from Chuck Bybee @ Alpha knife supply. And It does tarnish....real quick. As long as you know this and care for it like anything else it will serve you well.
