I've got 4 blades up for grabs this time.

Still offering the camp knife, Aldo's 52100 steel, 1/8" thick, 10" blade with 9.25" cutting edge, 15" OAL. Bubinga handle scales. Slight blemish from a beetle or something that was a flaw in the board. Very fast in hand. I'll offer it at $135 shipped CONUS as is, no sheath, or 170 with leather sheath. I'm out of kydex for the time being. Heat treated by Peters HT.

Second blade is a kukri, Aldo's 1095 steel, 3/16" thick, 10.5" blade, 16" OAL, Burl Source blue-dyed stabilized oregon maple burl scales, kydex sheath. Asking 250 shipped CONUS. Heat treated by Jeff Mutz at TruGrit.

Third blade is a camp dao in hefty 1/4" thick 5160 from Aldo. It's a beefy chopper, and, from the testing results from a previous one, this one has a slightly wider convex edge that's nice and tough. 24" OAL, 16.5" blade. POB is 2.25" up from the guard. Brass guard, natural G10 handle. Asking 325 shipped for this one. Heat treated by Peters HT.

I also still have the small persian available (3/16" 1095, 9" OAL, 4.25" blade, bocote handle scales). This one I'm offering for 90 shipped. Heat treated by Darrin Sanders.

I also have an 18" HI ASTK that I'd like to sell, asking 100 shipped for that. It was a blem I repaired, and didn't come with a sheath. Pics available upon request.

Shoot me a PM with offers. No Paypal for moral reasons, but I do take Amazon Payments, a free alternative to Paypal, for those who want to use plastic over the interwebs. Cash/check/MO all is fine as well.

Still love that 52100 camp knife! Did you do the heat treatment? Is it differentially heat treated?
Sorry if I repeat myself from the original thread!

I did not do the heat treat. The HT was professionally done by Peters Heat Treat. I don't believe it was differentially tempered. It didn't seem like a useful thing to do with 52100, from what I understand about the steel.

Pardon me but i have to say.....

That your Dadao is one of the best looking handmade Dao i've seen in this forum.

I have one of his dao in 3V and it is awesome. If you are on the fence about picking up one of his blades you should make the jump. You won't regret it.

Yeah what they said... I love your dao, and had I not sold my soul to the devil for all those banjo lessons I'd trade it in for that thing right now.

Thanks guys. I'm a big fan of dao designs as well. If you're military, or buying in bulk, you'll get a discount. Next project is a westernized katana-like object, if I can actually get the 3V...

-edit- That was actually probably a completely DUH moment. Of COURSE I like dao designs: I made 5 of them!
