Blade: 5 5/16"

Handle: 4 3/4"

Thickness Right In Front Of Plunge Line: .169"
Thickness in Ricasso: .188"

Steel: D2

Heat Treat: Paul Bos for 61 RC

Handle: Black paper micarta liners, spalted maple stabilized by K & G, G/Flex epoxy, brass. The front fastener on the handle is a pin, the other two fasteners are corbys.

The black circular marks are worm holes that are (imperfectly) filled with superglue.

There are some minor cosmetic issues: the plunge lines are not perfect and there is a spot of haziness in the finish, right at the front of that brass pin, on the right side of the handle.

White spots on the bevel are lint.

Asking $135, which includes Priority Shipping in USA. I cannot ship to other countries, as I am not well practiced in doing that.

I agree, very nice looking. I've been spying on this since you posted. Could I get a picture or two of what this looks like in a hammer grip, like if I were making a pointy stick? I'm mostly curious if the front of the handle would fill the hand (mine at least) or it's a little small. Looks like the top down pick it gets narrow in thickness while also getting a reduce width, which probably makes a nice guard but not sure if that would create a hotspot for harder materials. That design has to make a great hunting knife.

Does the price include PP fees?

Thank you for the kind words.

I may be able to post more pictures tonight.

There are different purposes for which people buy camp knives, and I tried to make this one versatile. You are right. It is quite a bit narrower at the front. I made it this way to enable the user to grip it like a paring knife when peeling fruits and veggies, with the edge facing the user.

For reference, the hand you see in the pictures is my hand, and I generally wear a size small glove.

And yes, the price includes PP fees.

Thanks for the questions.

What's that sitting down the bench in the kydex?

That's an experiment in handle material. I mixed up some G/Flex epoxy and got some multicolored cotton yarn. I glopped the glue on the yarn and squished it into the fibers very thoroughly as I was winding it around the tang. Then I wrapped the handle in shrink wrap and gave it 24 hours to cure. After everything cured, I put it to the grinder and gave it the shape that I wanted. Then I sanded it to 1200 grit and buffed it. Voila! It looks pretty nice, except that back part of the handle, which I still need to finish.

It is tiny. I think the blade length is 2 1/8".

I cannot take pictures as I have misplaced my phone.

I want to make a sturdier dangle strap when my leather order arrives. I think the one pictured above is 7-8 oz. leather
