im looking to get me a camp knife in the 7 to 8" range and am lookin for some ideas. I may possible go bigger, and well was hoping some of you can post up some pictures to help me in the right direction

Condor Hudson Bay. 8.5 inch 1075 high carbon blade, should cost in the $40 range.

In the 7 to 8 inch range, I would buy a BK-7. If you are thinking really big (10.5in.) I would buy the RTAK-II

Sorry, I don't have any pictures available

I recommend the scrapyard 711 with an edge thinned by a custom maker for a small fee. It's relatively inexpensive, has great heat treat and great steel. It's also one of the lightest knives out there(same as the BK2) for it's size due to the res-c handle. And the res-c handle is a dream to limb branches with.

sorry, I don't have many pics of my camp knives (theyre not real pretty to look at LOL), but id look into ESEE and Becker....excellent warranties and they both offer plenty of variety, so im sure you could find something you like.

For function and beauty, check out Fiddleback Forge. Most excellent camp knife.

I have a condor Hudson Bay Knife. It's not bad but the edge could really stand to be thinned out.

Any one of these would make an excellent choice for an outdoor blade. :D

Ontario SP Kukri 1/4" thick 1095 High Carbon steel. BK&T/KaBar BK2 1095 Cro Van steel.

Ontario SP8 1/4" thick 1095.

BK&T/KaBar BK9. 3/16" 1095 Cro Van. You simply can NOT NOT have a BK9 !!!!! :D

Condor Boomslang. 3/16" thick 1075 High Carbon steel.

BK&T/KaBar BK4. 1095 Crovan 3/16" thick.

Cold Steel Trail Master. 5/16" VG5.

Condor Lochnessmuk & Pack Golock knife. 3/16" 1075 High Carbon steel.

This is just some of my camp knives. You simply can NOT go wrong with ANY of them. Condors usually need some touching up or reprofiling of the blade. BK&T/KaBars usually need NOTHING. Ontario needs some edge touch up as well. No big deal to me. Hope this helps. :D

Thanks for Ll your input, I've owned a Bk9 and boomslang, don't like either and gifted the 9 away

A few Busse knives. Team Gemini, DSSF, NMSFNO

Mine used to be a Fallkniven S1, but the Busse Team Gemini Light Brigade has replaced it as my go-to blade. The TGLB is about the best all-around knife I've ever picked up. You can still find them on the Busse website.
