Camp knife questions - stock thickness? grind?

I had completely forgotten that one John. Please keep that design handy. I know that I will need one.

1/8 seems to me as pretty much perfect for an all-around camp cutter.

I like the pic of the 1/8 knife at 2 inches wide. I think 1/8 would be fine for all around camp knife, car camping. I have read a lot of what Christof of Koyote Knives had to say about thinner blades and most of the knives are 1/8. I also got a ML Hudson Bay knife in 1/8 but at 1 3/4 inches wide at 7 inches long, light enough but still good heft for chores. So my 2 cents is stay with 1/8 for all around stuff like food prep and lighter duties, but do get an ax or chopper for heavy jobs. I also do car camping, and I have not had to do much heavy chopping at all.
