Thanks for looking!

I have a version similar to this for about 10 years now if I remember correctly. Only one man makes knives like these.

You would be disappointed......

Hello,

May I ask what you mean by "you would be disappointed......"?

Thanks,

Pretty sure he meant "wouldn't", but hopefully he'll chime in and clarify.

Until SpearZ comes back to clarify, if the maker and mods will permit me, I'd like to throw out my .02. If not, please accept my apologies and feel free to edit my post.

I have a custom bowie made by Phillip a few years back. It has a W2 blade that is 1/4" thick, 10" long, and hardened to 60 RC. In other words, it is VERY similar to the knife above. It is also a user. :) I will say that it is a superb bowie, every bit as functional as it is beautiful and comfortable in hand. I could not be more pleased with it. It has easily done everything I have asked of it. I have no doubt that the knife posted FS here in this thread is every bit as awesome as mine, if not even more so.

It certainly looks like a great knife that I would love to have. I used to be a avid camper and hiker and a blade like Mr. Patton's would certainly be one I would carry. Unfortunately my health no longer permits me to go camping in the hot and humid environment that is central Texas. If I could I would get on the list asap.

Thanks for the nice pictures.
