Camp Knife

It's a beast! I'm not sure when I'll be able to take it out and do some wood processing with it but I'm not worried about pounding it through a chunk of Oak. It's one of the thickest blades I have, really stout feeling.

Okay, would like to see it in 1/8 or 5/32, still strong but less weight.

I love the knife as is but you're not wrong! It's a chunk! If it was a smidge thinner it would maybe slice better and of course be cheaper and lighter. Still, this one will fill a very specific role in gear- wood processing. I basically bought it to baton firewood. Yeah, that's a pretty specific niche and I'm sure I'll do other stuff with it as well. But I appreciate that bombproof construction in a knife I intend to beat on. A thinner knife would probably hold up just fine but this will give a little more margin of safety.

Understood, some thickness costs more than others. Stlll a great looking knife.
