Camp knife

And this is a pic I took while on my trip as far as what I had in my pockets while camping out there.

So while I sit here awaiting our latest snowstorm (~20"), I keep looking into options and dreaming about a MC trip. My buddy picked up a new bike yesterday and rode it home in 32 degree weather!

I reached out to Bradford and the do not recommend batoning with their knives, so they are out.

Still considering the ESEE 6, Reiff F6, CPK SDFK/HDFK, and maybe a couple of others that come to mind.

Another possibility is the LionSteel M7. Anyone have any experience with it? Thoughts on how it compares to the others?

Thanks

What do you do with a "camp knife"? To a lot of people it involves food prep for a group of people so it is more of a chef knife than anything else. If it involves woodcraft (replacement for a hatchet) then is a 6" blade enough or should it be longer? If it's more for woodcraft or emergency survival then I would think 7" or 9" blades would be better (BK7 or BK9), although otherwise the ESEE 6 looks good to me. I will always be carrying a good folder for things that need fine cutting, and if vehicle camping then I will be carrying a spare too, so I don't need a big knife to be doing small knife stuff.
