Camp Mate Prototype in S5 Shock Steel
This is the prototype blade for the "Camp Mate" line being introduced when my Website launches.
Blade is 12 1/4" OAL blade portion 7"
1/4" S5 shock steel water quenched for max hardness and toughness
Elk Handle with Brass and Torx screw anchor bolt on butcap
Balance point about 1" or so in front of handle, plenty of heft without feeling akward. Handle came out just at the right angle for prolonged use in the field.
Weight 16oz
Scotchbrite finish for ease of maintanence

Without question this is the toughest steel out there with excellant qualities for obsorbing impact, ease of sharpening and overall toughness.
