The big Bowies gain the title of Iron Mistress. Here’s my version in the form of a huge Camp Mistress 
This one was used a few times at camp and easily won our informal chopping contest! It’s a large knife for sure but hardly unwieldy. A LOT of material has been removed through flat grinding and fullering to get it to 28oz. I used 1/4in 5160 with differential heat treatment for the blade. The scales are black linen Micarta with brass pins. The sheath is black Boltaron with a reversible belt loop. The finish shows some sheath wear but she’s been sharpened back up and oiled for the next adventure. Overall it is 17 3/8in with a 12 1/4in blade. The blade is 2 9/16in at it’s widest section. I’ve reduced the price from new by $50- making this $400 ***sold***shipped in the US.
