Camillus Utility Knife - Circa 1940's Military Issue

Thanks, Hal. It doesn't have the class of the jigged bone Schrade and Camillus versions you posted, though. It's hard to tell from these pics, but the shell type handles bulge out quite a bit. That, combined with the 3 spring construction make it 3/4" thick in the middle. Nice and comfy in the hand during use, but kinda bulky for pocket carry.

The first knife I owned age 6, 1978 Imperial Kamp-King

Kastor/Camillus 1924-1941 ( no brass so most likely 40's because of the war)

Missing some bone and the can opener is also broken but still very solid.

Very nice S-K  Do you know when it was made and by whom?

Thanks Jack. I think the can opener most likely dates it to the inter-war period. Sorry I can't remember the maker. I'm in the process of moving and all my knives are packed away so I can't answer that at the moment.

I understand entirely, thanks for the answer though :)

The Utica kutmaster is a beloved gift from forommember kamagong. I had longed for a standard size campknife for a long time when he helped me. The small Case has been a regular user for rather many years and you can see I havent speared it from worktasks. The 3 one is a rear find here in sweden. I found it on the fleamarket for a low prize. Its stamped USA but nothing about witsh brand it is. How mych I like these campknifes in regular size they will never reach my EDC pockets. They are just to big for my EDC tastes and the bail isnt easy on the pockets.

I've toted this Victorinox Adventurer on many camping and road trips in the U.S., in Europe, and -- in 1996 -- all around Turkey on a backpacking trip. It's a GREAT knife.

Have the exact same Colonial knife.. with the "forest master" on it, yet slightly different. Must be different years.

I no nothing about it other than I rescued it from "death by rust" at a local antique market, any info on it's history would be nice.
