I change the handle to new shape (more japanese style.

Rosewood + Ivory Handle + damaskus stainless steel at the guard.
The handle fits my palm better now.

A ,ittle bit modified on the blade and re- sharpening the edge to almost razor sharp that more suitable to my needs and i want to see the temper line so double cut is the best approach.

 Unbelieveable talent.

Whay type of equipment are you using?

Hand Grinder for False Edge.
Sand belt for Flat Part of the knife.
Blasting machine (that I built my own) for double cut job.

Remarks:

Double Cut = First layor blasted with Aluminum Oxide and Second layer blasted with Glass Bead.

Thanks to every one who like my work.

I thouth I was depreciating the knife in the first place.:D

you are depreciating the knife, unfortunately. So no problem though. I'll give you full retail value for it so you loose nothing.

Just the kind of guy I am:thumbup:

By blasting machine you mean what we call a sandblaster?

What do you mean by double cut?

Sand Blaster = yes.

Double Cut :

I understand that this word is called by Swamp rat or Busse knives maker.
It means that using 2 type of Blasting Media in the process.

First process , the Aluminum Oxide is very hard and Sharper that the next one.

Second process using Glass Bead. Glass Bead is perfect round glass particle.
The dent created by this round glass particle will create good or better reflection on the part surface.

Why 2 medias are needed ?
Because the first media will make the part surface so darkish and clean look.
It is hard and shap enough to handle the job whereas the next media is kind of round shape which is not aggressive enough to hadle the first job but the round dents created from using this one gives better look.

Thanks for the clarification.

Judging from your photos, the dents you talk about are so small you can't see them with the naked eye? Is that correct?

Thanks for sharing.
