Yes, it's correct.
The Aluminum oxide shape is free form and it has a lot of angleฝcorners on the particle where as the Glass bead is perfect rounded shape.
Imagine when you look into the round cooking pan, if the pan is uncoated you see all the light reflect out of the pan nicely.
When you look into the surface of finishing out of Frre Form Media , it angle deep down and do not deem to have effective reflection then the light that reflect to your eyes are less and therefor it is darkish.
