Yes, it's correct.

The Aluminum oxide shape is free form and it has a lot of angleฝcorners on the particle where as the Glass bead is perfect rounded shape.

Imagine when you look into the round cooking pan, if the pan is uncoated you see all the light reflect out of the pan nicely.
When you look into the surface of finishing out of Frre Form Media , it angle deep down and do not deem to have effective reflection then the light that reflect to your eyes are less and therefor it is darkish.

Dick, That's a great job of modification!!! Very nice fit 'n finish from what I can see. Congrats on a job done well! :):thumbup:

I will put a link to this thread in The Toolshed forum here on BFC. The Toolshed is dedicated to sharpening and modifications folks have done to their knives. This major overhaul of the CT richly deserves to be included in the corpus of knife modding IMHO.

I agree, but even though it is so terribly deppreciated, I LOv... I mean I think it is decent and since I am being in such a generous mood and getting into the whole holiday spirit thing, I will even pay $25 more than full retail.
