I have always forged my choppers from 1/4 inch stock but at a recent show I got a couple of comments about how heavy they were. This one is from 3/16 inch stock and I like the way it feels in the hand. It will still do some serious chopping and is forged to a fine edge for other camp chores (slicing).

Flat grind with a machine finish
Forge marks left on the flats
Dyed curly maple handle
