Forged from 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated to Rc 59 with attention to a fine grain structure throughout the blade. Years ago I heat treated much harder than this but on an Elk trip while we were packing meat my son chopped a limb and broke a smile in the edge of the chopper I had made for him. 59 Rc is hard enough to hold an excellent edge and I can still cut a 10 penny nail in half without damaging the edge. When I am asked how I test my knives my smart ass answer is usually "I take them hunting". (I also slice paper and cut nails)
Flat grind with a slight convex
Stabilized walnut handle with Micarta spacers
Overall length is 11 3/4 inches with a 7 inch blade
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
$225 delivered within the US. My PayPal and email address is gldrewknives@gmail.com
