I finished this one up tonight for a customer. It's 1/4" Cruforge V, flat ground, hand sanded to 600 grit, black linen micarta and red vulcanized spacers secured with acraglas and corby bolts. The knife has a 4.25" cutting edge, 9" OAL, and is balanced at the index finger groove. This steel really takes a good edge, especially with a good stropping. The sheath is kydex with a Tec-Loc. Hope you guys and the customer like it.

Thats pretty cool. How do your customers like the choil notch you have on there? I personally like them, but some dont. I'm getting ready to add one to my M2 Puukko, for sharpening ease and saving wear on my waterstones. Also, what is the width from spine to edge? Looks like about 1.25". I love black and red. The spacers are something I'm going to have to try.

Thanks everyone! I delivered this one to the customer personally today. He actually saw the knife on here this morning after I posted it and seemed pretty pleased. I'll let him comment further on here if he so desires.

And I've got a wonderful all-but-new Martin (DXME) guitar to show for it . Man, I love the way Martins play! We worked out a trade: guitar for two knives and help in him making his own blade later on. I don't really do trades, but I've known this fellow for a while, and I am very pleased with the guitar. Thanks for the business, Jimmy!

me2, I haven't had any complaints about the choils so far. I've made knives with and without, but I like the ease in utility in having the choil. Plus, I think it helps to break the knife up into handle/blade. For some blades it would look ackward, but for this design, I think it worked well.

Hey guys,
I am the very lucky recipient of this knife. Nathan, I want to thank you again for taking the time to build this for me. I appreciate the fact that you let me basically design it and choose everthing from the steel to the handles and sheath. I could not be more pleased or impressed. This is by far the best built and sturdiest knife I own. The way this knife was made and assembled is unbelievable. The weight and feel of the knife are both comfortable and I know I can always trust this knife to take care of anything I need it to do with ease. Being a knife nut, I never go hunting without 4-5 knives simplly so I have a variety to choose from. I feel like from now on it will just be this fixed blade and my Benchmade Griptilian going to the lease. Thanks again Nathan!!!!!!

Glad you like, Jim. It was fun to build. Let me know when you get some ideas for the next knife, and I'll get started on it.

We went to get the kiddo tonight and we "nonchalantly" talked knives. I prodded and got the ideas so I will get something drawn up here directly and get it to you. I will say he could not get over the sheath. I guess I need to figure out a way to buy some of that material so he can make some for his other knives. He could not believe the craftsmanship and loved the way the handle design turned out. He made the whole thing pretty easy on me as far as the design and materials. I did make a mistake on his brand so I will let you know about that as well. I can't wait till he opens his knife at Christmas!!! Its gonna be great! Thanks again Nathan and play that Martin till the strings fall off. Take care and I will be in touch soon.
