Heat treated to Rc 60 with a grain similar to talcum powder throughout the blade
Flat grind with a slight forge texture on the flats
Black canvas Micarta scales. The hatchet style handle is very comfortable, big enough for large hands and fits my average size hand well.
Distal tapered full tang
Overall length: 12 inches
Blade: 7 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry

Really like the shape of this one, Gerry. Looks grippy. Also appears to be some heavy blade stock. Thickness? Any chance of a spine shot? This blade looks ready to work!

For my hunting knives I like the balance just slightly to the handle with the center of gravity such that the knife will lay in the hand sharp edge down and ready to work. A chopper like this should balance heavy to the blade because it is usually swung and used to chop weight forward.
