Campfire Question?

Some local firefighters had to put out a fire in a local park a few years ago. Lots of poison ivy was among the burning trees and several firefighters got poison ivy in their mouths, throats and lungs.

Sounded awful and required hospitalization.

Just make sure there are no poison ivy vines on it.

One of my friends burned poison ivy while clearing his back forty, and his face really took a beating.

Leaves of three, do not burn thee

..never burn wood w/ small children tied to it either..

..the fat in the children tend to spoil the heating ability of a good chunk of oak..

Biggest mistake I have seen is burning "Hairy rope" The fuzzy vine that crawls up trees. That is a form of poison ivy.
