Cold Steel Recon Scout & SRK are both excellant choices. Can't go wrong with either one.

I would day a Busse Basic 7 or 9, they have been listed here on the forums and on ebay, for right around that price recently. Surprising considering they are natively much higher in price.

With $150 to spend, I would take three knives. A hollow handle machete with a Leatherman Micra in the handle (see attached scan) and a Green Top Gardener's knife for digging and general cutting.
