Camping near Buffalo NY or Hamilton/St. Catherine Ontario?

So I just got some Phish tickets for their show in Darien Center, NY on 8-13. I was hoping to find somewhere cheap to stay/camp that night in the Buffalo area, or perhaps even in Ontario. It looks like the fastest route from Detroit is through Ontario. I suppose it would be possible to just drive right back home after the show, but that would make for a very long night. Thanks for your help.

I Grew up in MI and lived for a few years in Buffalo. From Detroit to Buffalo through Ontario is a 4 to 4.5 hour drive (one tank of gas).

My favorite camping spot in the area was Rock City SF, down near Salamanca. It is a bit less than an hour from Buffalo, which may be a bit far, but it is free and almost always empty.

Letchworth SP is near there too, and I think Darien has a campground near that amusement park, but it is probably crowded and expensive.
