Camping With The Pits !!!!

Well we are back a day earlier than planned, the temperature dropped much lower at night than we had expected so between the shivering and listening to Raccoons fighting outside our tent we got zero sleep so headed back a day early !!!!!
To give ya an idea about the cold we filled our cooler with ice when we got there and tipped it all back out today still frozen !!!!!!

Mrs Pit set up the tents while I drank beer and took pics !

Pit Jr and his buddy hired a Canoe and set off for a bit of fishing.....

We just kicked back with more beer !

I decided to see if this Dave Farmer Camp knife was aptly named and used it fro everything from cutting the buns and hotdogs to making sticks for the lads to cook their S'mores on.It worked out perfect and left me very impressed, this is truly one knife that get's it all done.....

With the fire glowing it was time to turn in for the night......

The following morning after freezing the night away just in my Pertex bag liner ( I didn't think I'd need a proper bag ) and having zero sleep......

Here a few more pics of the pooches, the first one I want to post because although a little outta focus it proves to those that have accused Maisy of packing on the pounds that they are wrong. I think she's in pretty good shape for her age and still gives the TT a run for her money !!!

Great pictures Pit!! Congrats to you and your misses on the seventeen years! If she always sets up camp while you kick back with a brew you are a lucky man!
 
Thanks for the pics, Pit. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! And happy anniversary, my parents was today.

Have to save the Maisy and TT ones for my nephew. First thing he asks me when he comes over is if I have any new pictures of them :o

I'm surprised that you only took a sleeping bag liner to sleep in, on what apparently was a '2 dog night'.(of course, you had 2 dogs - did you use them or were they still wet? :D )
