Last night we took our scouts on their annual snow camp at Lodgepole in Sequoia NP. The snow depth there is 6 feet, so we ended up putting our tents up by the cars instead of climbing up on the snow away from the cleared parking area. When I walked on the snow away from the road, I sank in over knee deep on every step.
We got there after dark last night, and I continued my tradition of making scones after camp was set up, served with butter and my home made plum jam. This morning I took a few pictures around camp:
Afterward we took the scouts sledding at Wolverton, just a couple miles away.
