Pretty cool, but ya have to wonder how long it would have taken with a Ma Deuce? Those big .50 rounds do some damage.

Kewl vid. Not much of a backstop there. Glad I'm not downrange!

According to my father, a tree that size takes about 15 seconds with a single M2 and less with a Quad mount. At least, that's what it took back in the day. Trees may be tougher now (yeah, right).

I can testify that an M2 will take down a tree pretty fast. Never timed it, because I was kind of busy at the time. I wasn't aiming at the trees, they were just in the way.

Hey TKAZ, Do you sell those miniguns? I want one :D

I wish I did my friend, but I don't.

That would be a ton of fun out in the desert with some trucks, cars maybe a building or two for targets and about a million rounds for a few hours.

Yes :D My first week in VietNam I pulled guard duty. Thought I saw incoming and opened up on it with an M-16. When the Captain of the Guard came out with the starlight scope he couldn't find anything. He asked me to have a look and noticed when I took a double take on a shrub shining bright white with the scope. He took a look, laughed like hell and then doubled my guard duty as it was bad form to fire without permission as the guys on the line didn't know what LRRP's were coming in and what other ops might be going on without callint the COG... Live and learn.

They told us to study our area before it got dark because when you are scared, at 3 am the bushes and trees start to launch an attack and they were right!

A 'ma deuce' 50 can chop up railroad track or take down a steel bridge. I've seen it done and done it. Also saw an AR-180 shooting 22 LR cut a doorway in a cement block wall. Amazing what 1800 rounds per minute of lowly 22 cal can do. As for 'lesser' guns, a 45 greasegun can turn a human into hamburger in seconds. Done that, saw that, and threw up afterwards. As for trees, sure, but why?
