Can a mod/admin answer my repeated messages?

I've sent several messages requesting account scrubbing due to a wide privacy breach. Do I need to invoke GDPR and get lawyers involved? I'm simply requesting deletion of my account so I can move on with my life, it's hard enough to keep track of everything I have to comb through to take care of this mess. Thank you.

The mods have lives off-forum, they don’t just sit around managing BladeForums all day munching on Cheetos. Maybe click the “report” button on lower left of your post and explain what you want. They’ll definitely take a look at that.

Accounts don't get scrubbed and or deleted.

Sounds like someone made a comment on here about how hot the secretary is and the wife just found out his username.

To the OP, if you are worried about something showing up in a google search which is what it sounds like to me, you can always go back and edit the "offending post" to have no content. If you get yourself banned it will be there in perpetuity. Threatening legal action is a sure way to get people to dig in. Honey and vinegar...

Well, I was perplexed a little by this one and went and looked at a couple of things. The GDPR is the EU's privacy thingie so I'm not sure it even applies in the United States not sure how efficacious that particular threat is. I also had a look to see what posts the OP was so worried about... a meaningless and pedantic debate on sharpening angles? Yeah I was a little bored this morning.

Probably had a log-in compromised somewhere else, panicked, and went scorched earth on everything is my guess. In any case you can’t threaten legal action to scrub your content from the internet when you yourself posted it. Nude pictures posted by a scorned lover might be an exception, and other things with a reasonable expectation to privacy. If you could, a lot of idiots that lost their jobs from highly controversial Facebook and Twitter remarks would be way ahead of this guy.

I am requesting an account scrubbing, but it has nothing to do with with this forum, and why is everyone else chiming in? I couldn’t find a way to PM an admin, and the Contact us form didn’t yield any responses. I’m scrubbing everything online because of a wide privacy breach, has nothing to do with this forum in particular. Legal action will have to be taken regardless, has nothing to do with bladeforums, I just requested account deletion here, not sure why that is so unreasonable. Not interested in other members’ childish responses, just mods/admins please. Thank you.

Btw, I can’t edit old posts, but that’s beside the point, I need the account deleted along with the associated email, as well as the content, doing this with all forums with active accounts. Not sure what the big deal is for you, but it is for me. I merely asked about lawyers to see if a formal request needed to be made, so that others don’t abuse whatever policy you have in place.

Thanks for your input, that’s enough.

Just fyi, GDPR applies to EU citizens and their data anywhere, but again that’s beside the point, I didn’t mean to threaten legal action lol, expressed it awkwardly, it’s just a request to have a peace of mind, had enough trouble with this whole ordeal. Also, I’m specifically trying to communicate with mods/admins, but thanks for your input.

GDPR doesn’t require content deletion, unless there is personal data in it, which is not a concern I have with this forum. I am simply making a request and asking for the admin to accommodate me. What GDPR does require is to have your account anonymized and your email scrubbed, and this is in fact binding for anyone when it comes to EU citizens. Thanks.

Yeah you did that’s why you said it. Does that ever work in real life? I mean, most people I know that go around threatening to sue people don’t ever get anyone willing to do what they ask.

I don’t remember asking you a goddamn thing. Now stfu. 😄
Your question has already been answered.
Accounts don't get scrubbed and or deleted.
To add to my esteemed colleague's statement...you have the option to log off the site.

Or, if you insist, you can request for your account to be banned and one of us will most likely accommodate your request.
If that's not good enough, don't know what to tell you.

I'll have to look into that some more. If you are participating in an American site on American servers it seems like there would be little the EU could do about anything.

That said as has been suggested if you are worried about something you said on the site the best course of action and on that you can take without any assistance required is delete the contents of your posts and your profile and move on with life. You can't get more anonymous than that.

Well it's an interesting rabbit hole for sure. As best I can tell at cursory inspection the EU is claiming that if a business is targeting EU customers that GDPR applies. There are exceptions made for companies that have less than 250 employees and I assume this site therefore would not need to comply. That aside it would appear to me that this site already complies. That aside aside, if the EU attempted to fine a site like this one that I were operating I would tell them to come and get it, the last time I checked I wasn't subject to EU law in the United States, and would probably block access to EU users.
