Consider who you might be addressing, before you assume that person is as incapable as you may be! We're talking about a fingernail groove , not rocket science!

Destined to become a classic! We're talking about one of the most interesting and informative members of Bladeforums, not a new guy with an inflated sense of self-importance. :D

I'll have to see if I can develop some dexterity.
Thanks for the tips. :jerkit:

It really is fast and easy, this one I cut into a pc.of an old saw blade, I timed it start to polish one minute /15 seconds. It would take longer to clamp the blade down in a mill. Again I would never recommend something I wasn't sure could be done, so call off your dogs. Peace, TZ

Because we can do it, doesn't mean we should recommend those with less experience do so. I don't have any dogs.

seperating disc in a Dremel would be fairly easy ,just hold both knife and tool steady

My post explains "how" to do it, I left it to the end user to decide if he or she wanted to try. As I remember it was a how-to-do-it? kinda thing. I didn't recommend they do it.You suggested that I was offering a nearly impossible solution that I hadn't tried, and probable couldn't perform. Rudeness always raises the hair on the back of my neck, as I'm sure it does yours! I Guess I'm supposed to bow "in some direction" at your presence? To please your followers? Guess what! I don't bow to men!

Ok, I'll acknowledge that both of you guys should be respected for your knowledge. Now let's be respectful of one another; in that you are both skilled enough to do something most of us would not dare attempt. My father was a very accomplished diamond setter, jeweller to the stars and most giving of his knowledge type of guy. I still have all his equiptment, benches, flex drills, etc...I can use them but not at his level of skill. That's why folks ask the questions of the 'knife masters' here.

Wow! I can see why your called midnight! You count post numbers, and determine "fame" or not? What I said can be proven! My ability! ,you have no clue! I don't trounce around here blowing my own horn, so I'm nobody? Your a "mod " right? Out there in the real world, your probably looking for a job.

You've already shown yourself quite capable of initiating a rude exchange. Exaggerating the wounds inflicted on you impresses no one. Replying with real insults to the mildest of rebukes will win you no points here.

Please take the time to read the FAQ and acquaint yourself with the expected standards of discourse in our discussion forums.

Edit: You are fortunate we cross-posted. I will give you the one more chance to think before tossing off ignorant and gratuitous insults.

1Tracker you are right, and I'm happy to see a neutral post. I'm also considered "capable" in famous jewelry circles, but here there testing my patience

OK! I hit your last nerve! Your move!

Well, I wholeheartedly apologize. No one is asking you to bow to anyone.
Most people can not use a flex shaft or Dremel with near the skill that a jeweler has-they simply don't use one as much as we do. I generally suggest that they leave the Dremel alone. It's a professional's tool, though Dremel would have you think anyone can do anything with one.
Now, just calm down and we can all have civil exchange that is beneficial to all.

mr Esav Benyamin, I like that name I think I have friends with that name! I will call tommorow! I know many people in Jerusalem, but all that I know, would frown on your methods

Sir, the only reason I said Dremel, is that I read here that so many have them! I bought one 25 yrs. ago, and that tiny little machine made a huge whirring sound that totaly turned me off. I hate Dremel. I also apolligize for my rudeness. I mean that!, and thank you, for being there!

Bill , if you want to do a favor, for bladeforums, backtrack this episode, the one mod has zero scrupples!

Honestly skybone, enough already. You wrote "Consider who you might be addressing, before you assume that person is as incapable as you may be" to a well known knifemaker and forum member and got called on it. The fact that you haven't been banned or even infracted for your little outbursts towards Esav should show how tolerant he and the rest of the mods are.

My advice is to take a break and calm down a bit.

Bill, I think we need to get you a puppy. Can I send you a puppy in exchange for the work you are going to do for me? Everyone should have a dog. Maybe Obama can put that in the stimulus package:D
